I went into boots to get ...

Just a few bits i picked up from Boots today, i only went in to get the Garnier self heating mask ... but walked past the make up section ... then got distracted lol, i didnt wanna spend much with Christmas coming up so i got a few bits out of the natural collections range as its still on offer 3 for £5 ... which is MEGA cheap!

The first thing i picked up was the nail varnish called Cosmic Crush, its a dark purple colour with a gold reflex in it. Ive put it on and it takes two coats to get a nice dark purple colour. I really like this colour, think it should take me throug fall and winter with it being so dark ... It went ok quite easy but is a little bit thick, but for the price who's compaining ??

I then got two eyeshadow duo's:

  • Mink/Sable (this is on the left hand side of the picture), its a very soft peachy colour combined with a very light brown. I'd use these for a day make-up, very soft smokey eye i think.

  • Mocha/Latte (this is obviously on the right side of the picture), this is more of a vanilla colour paired with a dark chocolate brown, i'd probably use this for an weekend day look, a little more effect than the Mink/Sable one.
I then picked two lip products, a tinted lip balm and a lip gloss.

The tinted lip balm is called Cranberry kiss and is a dark pink colour in the tube, but goes on as a very shiny balm with a subtle pink tint, ive now got 3 of these products (lychee twist and not sure of the other name as the labels come off) But i like using them in the winter as its a lip balm, so it moisurises and nourishes my lips, which is good in the cold weather.
I also got juicy lips lip gloss in raspberry ripple, now this colour is a very pale shimmery pink, it smells delicious! Ive only tried it once and it was ok, it was abit sticky for my liking, but like i said before for the price i cant complain! I may try it over the top of a lipstick or somethin instead of wearing it on its own.
Finally i got there tinted moisturiser as there wasnt anything else in the collection i wanted so i thought i'd try this, for the price im not expecting anything, so if it covers anything thats a bonus ... its worth a try though! I got it in Natural and there was 3 different shades to choose from; with natural being the lightest.
After getting all these and paying for them i then left boots and got a few more bits for the spare bedroom in my house, a few candles and pictures then went home and realised the real reason i went into boots ... for my Garnier Face Mask ... whoops!!!

Garnier Self heating sauna mask ...

heyyyyy .... well at the moment im sat in my living room with my boyfriend looking at me very strangely as ive got a clay face mask on. Its a Garnier Skin Naturals one, a Pure self heating sauna mask.

I bought two trial sizes of this mask as ive got very sensitive skin and didnt want to buy the full bottle then not be able to use it, and this is the second sachet ive used.

According to Garnier it makes your skin feel deeply cleansed and looks shine free and feels purified for upto 7 days, It works by a self heating action on contact with skin, which helps to remove impurities and excess sebum (oil that causing the pores to block) that can block pores.

Well i think its a really good product, there isnt a smell to it which i like, it goes on very easily, the first time i used it i put it on with my fingers and the second time i used a mask brush, but i prefer using my fingers, its easier. Whilst the mask is on your face it goes slightly warm, no burning or anything. It doesnt tighten the skin either as its a sauna mask so it doesnt set, it stays wet. I left it on for about 10 mins, then washed my face with warm water and a clean towel to pat dry it off ... as soon as i take the mask off i can feel my skin feeling so soft, especially on my cheeks and forhead. I then used Oil of Olay beauty Fluid as a general moisturer.

I have normal skin, but they say this is best for people with normal to oily skin so its ok, im definatly going to buy the normal size bottle now i know it doesnt irriate my skin or anything, i'd give it 5/5 for my personal opinion but 4/5 for what it says on the packet as i dont think it last's upto 7 days as ive used my two sachets within a week!

What face mask do you like ??? any good recommendationds for sensitive skin??
I'd love to know so i can try some others out!

My Lush goodies ...

Firstly i would just like to say how lovely the people who work in Lush in the Arndale Centre Manchester are ... they are so so helpful, i could spend all day in there! <3
So i went in and decided to pickup a basket as i'd be getting quite a bit of stuff lol, as soon as i started looking at all the bath bomb a sales assistant came over to help me, she was asking if its for me or someone else, and asking questions to help me out loads ... she was lovely. She didnt hassle or anything as wasnt pushy into buying anything ... she was Fab <3

This is everything i bought ...
(the descriptions are straight from the lush website as are the prices so they may differ in stores depending on sizes you pick up)

Rock Chick box (£5.87) which contained :
Rock Star soap - is pink and smells of sweeties rock starsoap makes your hand and body smell like candy.
Creamy Candy bath bubble slice - smells delicious and has cocoa butter and almond oil to moisturise your skin.

Bathos - Bathos contains Violet Lead, Jasmine & Ylang Ylang, said to be very relaxing, warm the emotions and your limbs feel floppy. (Couldnt find this one on the lush website so the description is off the label, cant remeber the price sorry!)

Therpapy massage bar - Euphoria-inducing bar with uplifting neroli. Therapy is a wunder-bar, which we make to help your hard life get softer. First, it moisturizes with cocoa and shea butters to make your hard skin get softer. Then, it softens your tensions with lavender and neroli oils - neroli is the one which gives you a feeling of euphoria, especially when you have someone massaging it into your shoulders. Give therapy a try and you'll feel better in no time. (£5.50)

Dream cream - Incredibly soothing body lotion for troubled skin. Dream Cream is Lush's best-selling product because it makes sore skin feel good again. Chamomile and lavender calm irritations, reduce redness and banish blotches. We've also included soothing oat milk, too. It contains everything nature makes for soothing your skin. (£9.60) I didnt buy this one, but the sales assistant said its very good for people with ezcema .. like my self so she gave me a tester which ive tried and LOVED it ... it hasnt affected my ezcema or anything, its helped my dry areas too, but i'll be buying it when im next in Lush.

Ma Bar - Spoil yourself with a chocolate-toffee bar. The Lush Ma Bar is a Bubble Bar of two halves: cocoa and honey toffee. In the centre, there's a lump of brown sugar, which melts in the bath water. It originally appeared for Mother's Day, but although it was due to be a limited-edition, and the Lush kitchens were supposed to stop making them, no-one wanted to stop buying. Anyway, it's a lovely little present to give your Ma all year round, to show that you appreciate her on more than just one day a year. While it does smell good enough to eat, you really shouldn't try. (£2.36)

<---Cinders - Fizz, crackle and pop! A spicy, soda scented Ballistic that crackles like a roaring fire. (£1.95)

Mr Butterball ---> - Mr. Butterball blesses gives you with vanilla-scented, soft skin for Christmas. Mr. Butterball has had work done. After a Synaesthesia massage and a Lush makeover, he's ready to rock this Christmas in a sexy new guise. Fortunately, he still smells of our sweet, soothing Ballistic and he still melts tiny pieces of creamy cocoa butter into the bathwater to moisturize and soften your whole body. (£2.20)

Ruby Red Slippers - Sparkling, ruby red Bubble Bar with a bewitching fragrance of rose and carnation. There's no place like Lush at Christmas. Grab yourself a pair of Ruby Red Slippers and work some powerfully foaming magic on the water and make it as colourful as the merry old land of Oz. This calming, skin-toning potion of carnations, tangerines and roses makes your body feel and smell bewitching. Munchkins can break a bar in half and get two little baths for the price of one. (£3.50)

I also got a small tester charity pot for £1 of there cocoa butter as it smells delicous ... so i thought it would be perfect to keep in my bag as a small hand cream, also if you decide to buy the full tub of cocoa butter you just take the container back in from the charity tester pot and you then get £1 off the full tub ... good idea !!

As everyone knows .... Lush is a enviromently friendly shop so they've stopped doing the box gift wraps ... what happens now is you pick a large scarf (square) theres loads to pick from with lovely designs on and they put the stuff you've bought in the bag then make something out of it. They make bags, but they look fab ... its hard to describe so you'll have to either get one or look on there website for pictures! I didnt want my stuff wrapping but i bought a scarf anyway as there only £3.50!

I will give a review of all the stuff ... but i'll do it once ive used everything so it may take a while ... so be patient for the Lush review blog!

The reason i got up at 3.30am saturday 14th Nov

ok ok ok ... so you all probably think im crazy ...
but listen ...

Jimmy Choo was doing a collaboration with H&M and it was a one off thing, and Limited edition ... and i knew if i got to H&M at 9.00 when the shop opened i wouldnt get anything ... so i got up at 3.30 and went to my local H&M and started queing up ... got there about 5.30AM!!

What happened is that the first 160 people in the que all got wristbands, which then entilted them to 10 minutes in the shoes, bags and accessories section. The first 20 people in the que got a red wrist band, the next 20 got Blue and i was in the next group of 20 and got a yellow wrist band, on there was a time to go back and have our 10 minutes in the designated section. So 20 people were allowed in at each time, but there were 20 sales assistants too, so it was a one on one thing, so 10minutes seemed like ages! (i hope that makes sense)

I got two pairs of shoes and two bracelets ... and they were BARGAINS!!!

My first pair of shoes were black pumps with stud's down the sides and on the front and they were only £49.99, they came in a blue Jimmy Choo box and also complete with Dust bag, again saying Jimmy Choo!

My second pair are Zebra print heels again with studded details! The have a zip detail on the back of the shoe and it says Jimmy Choo on the zip .. sooo cute!! The heels are 5'' :) £79.99 . Again complete with box and dust bag!! They have these on the Jimmy Choo website in all black not zebra print and there £695.00 so you can see how much of a bargain mine were :)

I also bought two bracelets, these come in two little bags which was really really cute! The Bracelet on the left is 12 mini braclets all attached, but there all different, some studs, some sparkles etc! The one on the right is a row of beads on either side with Diamntes running up the middle. And for both of these it was only £35.00

I would definalty say it was worthing queing up from 5.30am in the morning in the cold!!

Friday 13th Nov

My Friday night ...

i couldn't do a hectic Friday night and go out with everyone properly as i had a VERY early morning ... so i decided to just go bowling with them all first then come home nice and early! It started off with everyone meeting up in the bar at the Bowling alley just before 8, took a while for everyone to get there, we were two down ... but decided to go over and get out bowling shoes and the others could meet us at the Lanes.

I only have small feet so i had to have a size 3 ... which didnt have laces ... they have velcro ... so everyone laughed at me .. :(

It worked out there were 5 people per lane (we had two lanes) and im not that good at bowling so i had the barriers up ... no-one else on my lane did ... but i didnt use them, i went straight down the middle, but when the rest of the people on my lane took them down i went straight into the gutter ... its all in my head hahaha! But i lost the first game BADLY ... but the 2nd game i won ... woooh oooo :D

After the final games everyone else went out ... but me being the good girl went home ... and had an early night ...

To find out what i was doing up on saturday morning at 3.30 read my next blog ...
