Good evening sugarplum fairies ♥
So as i was putting my foundation on for the day i realised i havent seen many review's or post dedicated to this little beauty ... Maybelline Dream Satin Finish.
So what Maybelline say :
♥ first air-whipped liquid mousse foundation
♥ 100% poreless look
♥ Air-brush finish
♥ Full yet lightweight coverage
♥ Ultra-bendable, comfortable texture
♥ Satin perfect & luminous finish
I think maybelline have got it quite right ... it is very full coverage but very lightweight on your face. When i first got this i was using my Mac 190 foundation brush and then after a few weeks i went to my Smashbox #13 which gives me a much better & even finish, i find this foundation very easy blend and making it easy to avoid the dredded tide marks around your face.
So the colour i got was light porcelain 004 which is the 3rd lighest out of 8 colours i think
This took me ALOT of guts ... and umming and arring.... so below is a very scary picture of me without ANY make-up!
So i think these pictures show how full the coverage is, i dont have rosy red cheeks after i applied the foundation. I usually put a very light dusting of Bare Essentials mineral foundation in light over the top just to set it, but i usually put my foundation on around 8.30 in the morning after ive been to the gym and its still in place well after 6 when i get home :)
Ive got normal to oily skin in my T zone and this product works really well for me, i also think with it being a liquid it should work for other skin types too, back to what Maybelline say ...
Airbrush finish - i wouldnt go that far but it is a very nice finish :)
Have any of you tried this foundation yet?
Any other good recommedations on any other Maybelline foundations?
*huge hugs & kisses*

I have this in the lightest shade, I really like the coverage and the finish but it's slightly too dark for me. Boo. =)
ReplyDeleteI have this foundation in the same colour which I think is a tiny bit too dark for me but it will do with some good blending. Not sure about other foundations since this is the first one I've used since Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten mineral foundation. I do like it and think it gives good coverage but it could look better on me, hoever that could be something to do with spots and dry patches. :)
ReplyDeleteHun... you look great without foundation!! I'd love to have your skin! I never tried this out purely for the fact I hasn't seen many reviews on it, so great post :D xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis looks really nice on! And you look good without any foundation - you have really clear skin! xx

I have light porcelain as well. It was the lightest when I bought it but maybe they've got lighter ones now...not sure. It's just ever so slightly too dark...but most foundations are on me lol.
ReplyDeleteYou do look lovely without foundation hun.
