January Favourites ...

Hello my lovely ladies (& gents) so just a quick post on everything ive been LOVING this month, and come to think of it ... there's ALOT of stuff ive really liked using!

So im gonna start off with everything thats not make-up, so thats hair stuff, perfume's, moisturisers etc.

So ive recently (well just before newyear) changed over from being a Herbal Essence lover .. over to TRESemme Coloured hair Shampoo & Conditioner. And it wasnt my choice to convert, i asked the BF to pick me some more Shampoo & Conditioner up on his way into the local town and he came home with TRESemme .. i must admit i did have abit of a strop lol! He only bought it was it was on offer ... these  MASSIVE bottles (900ml) for £1.50 each! BARGAIN! So i used it and LOVED it! after blowing and straighting my hair, it looked so nice, and felt uber soft! i was officially converted - i even ran out the day after to my local Wilkinsons where the offer was on and bought another one of each :) back-ups lol!

Staying on the hair products i also love the TRESemme smoothing serum, i use this on wet hair and rub it evenly through, i have naturally curly hair so this helps tame it after straightening it. Im also loving the VO5 Heat protector, i use this before putting any heat to my hair, i feel that its really protecting it from any damage! And finally .... every girls best friend ... dry shampoo ... enough said lol!

If you've read my pervious blog about the Philosophy Facial exfoliator you will know i did a 10 day post about it and i absoutly loved it, i wont ramble on about it again just check out my previous post Click here! 

After using the philosophy exfoliator i was then using two different moisturisers: the Elemis SOS emergency cream and Lush Celestiaz, i was using these on alternate days, the reason i did this was because the Elemis cream was expensive, or at least i think it is at £47 a bottle. In regards to the SOS cream its a quite runny liquid and you only need two pumps to cover the full face and its got a very strong smell of Lavendar and the Lush cream is the total opposite, its a very thick cream which i really like, it really helps my skin in this cold windy weather.

Now onto the make-up bits and peices that ive really liked this month ... I'll start off with foundations/ concealors ive loved and its the BE foundations in Light and Fairly Light, used with the BE full flawless brush, it gives such a natural light look but perfect coverage for my skin, i also liked the Natural collection concelor in Fair as its very creamy and covers and dark circles ive got! :)

 

Onto my eye things, so ive loved the natural collection duo shadow in Mocha/Latte for a very subtle day look, and to make it alot more dramatic ive been using the BE golden earth which is a deep brown with gold reflex's :) ive also loved the Barry M dark blue dazzle dust :) All of these shadow's i put on with the BE shadow brush! Finally im loving the Rimmel VolumeX10 Mascara as it really seperates my lashes, and onto of that i use the No.& Extragant Mascara :)

And finally onto my lip products ... i know im soo behind everyone else on this but Gosh Darling, ive only just picked this up recently in my local superdrug and i love it, i pair it with MAC's Cruise control lipgloss for a pink nude lip.

Im also loving Murad energizing lip therapy it gives a pink sheen to your lips and is so moisturising :) and finally the Rimmel Royal Gloss in clear just when i cant be bothered lol!

Philosophy exfoliator ...

So ive had this exfoliator sitting in my collection for a while (since i did this post facial exfoliator) i wanted to use up all my other exfoliators before opening this one ... So i  thought i'd try it out everyday for 10 days and give an honest opinion

So my skin at the start of the 10 days ... very dry patches on my forehead and my cheeks due to the cold weather. I like many others have a few black heads on my nose, which make my nose feel 'bumpy', my skin tone isnt even all over , i have red patches in some areas.

I am going to use this after using a simple baby wipe on my face to remove all my make-up in the evenings then use this then moisturise.

Well i only used about a 10p piece size of this and rubbed it between my fingers then onto my face, it spreads quite easily all over my face and is a very fine facial exfoliator which is ok to use on a daily basis

Day one
My skin still had dry patches but they seemed slightly less on my forehead but my cheeks were the same.

Day two
i can feel a big change in the dry patches on my forehead and the cheeks are improving very slightly

Day three
Massive improvement on my forehead, feeling very soft and hardly any noticeable dry area, my cheeks have improved lots too, still got the stubborn dry areas right on my cheek bones, my nose is feeling alot softer too.

(very impressed as its only been 3 days)

Day four

Whoopsie i fell asleep on the sofa then went straight to bed in my make -up *slap hand* so i didnt actually exfoliate!

Day five

To make up for not using it last time, instead of just using it for 30 seconds i used it for closer to a minute and half, my forehead feels sooo soft its untrue! massive improvement on my nose

Day six
I am loving this exfoliator, it makes my foundation go on so much more even, my cheeks are starting to catch up to my forehead on the soft side now, and ive noticed its evening my skin tone out too :)

(so another 3 days have passed and i LOVE it)

Day Seven
I didnt use it tonight, only because i used the Lush Love Lettuce face mask and thats a very thick exfoliator so i wanted to give my skin abit of a rest, but i LOVE the philosophy exfoliator! :)

Day Eight
My forehead is feeling uber soft, ive also had compliments from people i work with at how clear my skin looks so thats a good indicator :) no dry patches as i can feel :)

Day Nine
Very soft skin, no visible or touchable dry patches, evening the skintone out on my cheeks

Day Ten
My forehead has no dry patches at all, my cheeks are uber soft with no visible of touchable dry patches,my nose still feels slighty dry but the skin tone on my cheeks are leveling out

My Verdict
WOW - all i can say is that i love this product, it may be on the other end of the price scale than the usual facial exfoliators i would usually buy as it was £27 but the bottle is soo big and you dont have to use alot of it to get a good lather!  I feel it makes my BE foundation go on flawlessly and ive had many compliments on how clear my skin is. I am definatly going to re-purchase this!

Bare Minerals ...

Hellloooo .... So im trying to do more posts through out the week but having trouble as im uber busy at work, then mega tired when i get home! so i just wanna apologise for the lack of post this week! Also im off work on Thursday but im going to watch Britains got Talent Auditions at the Opera House in manchester! I cant wait!! :) Ive also changed my comments so i have to approve them first, the only reason ive done this is because i was missing comments, so at least this way i'll get to read them all! :)

So ive already got a few of the Bare minerals foundations (Bare Essentuals) which ive already blogged about, but i bought myself a few more bits and also got a pressie from my mum :)

I bought this myself .. its a medium spf15 foundation, now im usually light and fairly light but this was on sale in Selfridges so i thought hey medium for summer ... thinking ahead, also the lady at the counter told me this brush is one of there best but im not a fan, the bristles are uber soft but there just too long, i prefer my other full face BE brush!

this was a present from my mum (she got it in duty free coming home from her holidays) Its in fairy light and is spf30 and it's the foundation in the brush, so you have to turn it so the brush comes up and then apparently it should distribute the product evenly all over the face, ive tried this once, just to have a go and kinda struggled as i wasnt sure if the product

 was coming out, its abit weird!!

So have any of you tried any of the Bare Minerals, Bare essentuals products? If so what do you think? What would you recommend as im becoming a fan very quickly!

There foundation is great coverage but so light on your face, ive had numerous comments on how clear my skin looks, and im putting it all down to this lil baby!!

Sunday Night post ...

Hello all my lovely followers and anyone who reads this, i hope you've had a fab weekend in what ever you've done!

 So ive been dreading today, because i had to get weighed! I wasnt looking forward to this because im on Steroids at the moment because of my bad asthma and to build my lungs back up, and they make me bloat and hold water so im feeling all 'fat' lately :(

So i got on the scales and closed my eyes till they beeped and told me i could get off lol! the ticket came out and i didnt dare look lol, i made my bf look, and WOO i stayed the same, so i was pretty happy, still 11stone5lb's! Todays my last day on the steroids so fingers crossed next week i shouldnt bloat as much!

Ive got a very hectic week next week with work, so there may be another lack of posts! But i'll try my hardest to get a few up in the week, im also in the process of buying stuff for my mini giveaway!

Mini haul ...

So firstly i just want to apologise for being so MIA lately ive just been uber busy with work and when i finally get home i can just about to look at my laptop never mind type on it! So last sunday i popped into my local town centre to go into boots to weigh myself and also to go into Superdrug! So these are my few new goodies ..

In my local Superdrug they'v still got the 3 for 2 offer on so i thought well i'll see if they've got the GOSH darling in ... WOOO HOOO they did ... and im soo happy with it! it looks gorgeous on, ive got very pigmented lips and this covers it perfect! No point really taking any pictures as im SOOO behind with it everyone's already on there millionth stick of it already lol!
I then picked up a new eyeliner, which is just the plain Rimmel Kohl liner in Black, perfect for my waterline and also to smudge on my upper lid, i also wanted to try the Rimmel Volume Flashx10 extreme black mascara ... and i LOVE it, it makes my lashes look so long and thick :) i will do a short post on it with my lashes bare and with this product on :) Also in superdrug i picked up some of superdrug's own brand hair spray, two HUGE bottles for £1.50 i was BARGAIN! its pretty good, easily brushed out, still lets your hair move and not go rock hair so im impressed!

I also popped along to boots to weigh myself and i also picked up some Vaseline moisuriser for my body as ive been getting extremly dry elbows which are pretty sore too ... and for this MASSIVE bottle it was only £2.79 BARGAIN! i also picked up a VO5 heat protector which i totally forgot to take a picture of so i thought i'd pinch one from google ... when i bought it, it was £2.99 and now in boots its only £2.24 which i think personally is a bargain, i really like it and i feel it really protects my hair from the GHD's!

So ive got a few more post all lined up, and i'll try my hardest to try and post about 5 times a week and fingers crossed they'll be decent post! Ive realised ive now got just over 50 wonderful followers so i'll get some stuff together to do a give away to say a MASSIVE thank you to you all!!

sorry for lack of posts ...

helloooo .. hope your all doing well :) really sorry for the lack of posts this last week, I've got lots planned but just not got the energy to start any of them. I'm writing this as I'm squished onto the train on my way home from work ... its not good, it can't be safe, but hey if we crash noone can fall over there isn't the room too lol! So tonight when I get home I promise a post ... probably on my new philosphy gift set I recieved as a present :) x x x

Well ive had such a long day, working for 11 hours ... so tired ... so after finally getting home from stomping in the snow, i got home to find my lovely bf had done this ... i know its a very bad pic

 but it was a candlelite Lush Bath ... it was gorgeous, there was a Star bath melt in there too ... it was sooo nice! :) i could of lay there for AGES but just didnt have the time !!

January Promise Cont ...

Hey :) so today was my Sunday Weigh in day ... and i was pretty nervous actually because this weekend it had been my BF's birthday so that meant going out for a meal, birthday cake and lots of cocktails :S

So i weighed myself and i lost a 1lb, it wasnt what i was aiming for, with my goal being 2lb a week, but hey its better than puttin a lb on aint it?? :) So next week im going to try even harder and do my new Divina Workout DVD and see if that helps!

So ive got quite a few post's lined up to do ... one of them being my hair, well i'll just let you know what ive done .. my hair is naturally a medium darkish brown, so i bought a Feria Lorel hair dye and ive dyed it, and for some random reason only seems to have took at the roots and the first 3 inches of my hair ... so thats a light brown and the rest is dark brown :( so im not a happy bunny ... so tomorrow im going to buy a dark dark chocolate brown and just slap it all over to sort it all out! I'll post lots of picture's tomorrow so you can all laugh at my disaster lol!!

Messy Up do ...

So whilst i was off on my snow day, i was watching lots of youtube video's, reading lots of blogs :), playing with my pro palette and then started to play with my mop of hair lol!

So i got the idea of this hair style from the lovely Kelly who did a blog on it and also a quick youtube video ... So this was my messy up-do ..

quite random that my hair looks different colour on the back view!

I really like this look tho, it literally took me 5 mins just to grab random peices of hair and grip it up with hair slides! I like this look because i dont have to straighten my hair or anything so it wont be doing any heat damage :)

My first snow day ...

Helloooo my beautiful ladies ...

So today i wasnt able to get into work because of the such bad snow and ice all over the roads, train tracks ... so i thought i could catch up on reading the blogs i follow, all the youtube guru's i follow too :D

Also i thought it would be a perfect time to give my 120 Pro Palette a test ..

So the 120 palette is a mix of shimmer & matt eyeshadows and as you can see above have a fab range of colours :)

So i had a play around with the silvers and blue's, i wanted to do my version of an icy eyelook ... the blue was alot darker in person but im still having trouble with the settings on my camera :( i then just did very thin eyeliner on the top lashes and the water line :

My second look was playing around with the oranges/red's and golds in this palette and i really love this look, it reminds me so much of Autumn time ... shame im only 3 months late hahaha! With this look i just used a brown eyeliner on my upperlash line thats it!

Has anyone else got the 120Pro palette? if so what do you think of it?

Personally i love mine, the colour pay off is really good as there all very pigmented! :)

Does anyone want any swatches of any of the colours .. if so just let me know which of the colours you'd like me to swatch, the blues, purples, pinks, yellows, etc etc!

Happy 101 award

WOW im so happy ... ive been awarded my 2nd award for my blog ... the lovely Cake Girl awarded me this ... i love following her blog ... she's so sweet too! i think everyone should follow her :D

January Promise ...

helllloooooo!! hope everyone's had a fab weekend and its bad to the normal working week tomorrow ... im dreading my alarm goin off at 6am :(

Well my promise to myself for January if you read my previous blog (my new years resolutions 2010) you would all know is to lose those extra lb's ive put on over christmas and the build up to christmas.

So off i went to boots to get myself weighed ... and i'm 11stone 6lb :( so my goal weight im setting for myself is 9stone 6 ... so my aim is to lose this by the weekend before my birthday so ive got 13 weeks, so that works out to be 2.1lbs per week, fingers crossed i'm gonna do it :D

Im gonna write a mini blog every sunday to tell all my lovely followers how i got on ...

Any hints or tips on weightloss ??

Love Lettuce Lush Face Mask

LOVE LETTUCE LUSH FACE MASK ..

How attractive does it make you look heehee!!

Well the reason i tried this face mask was because ive read so many good reviews on it, and one brill review from the lovely Georgie's blog ... :)

According to lush :

An effective, exfoliating face mask which gives normal to oily skin a softened, smoothed and radiant glow. Polishing almond shell is balanced by the skin softening qualities of almond oil and seaweed gel. With soothing lavender essential oil and the cleansing, tightening action of Fuller's Earth, you'll feel fresh in no time.

According me Moi :

OMG ... i love this, it smells delicious, well that is if you like the smell of Lavender, its a thick mask with very coarse exfoliator, it says to leave on the skin for between 8-10 mins, but i left it on for about 12-14 mins instead, and it started to tighten on my skin thats when i removed it. After washing the mask off with warm water and in circular motions (as stated on the bottle) it made my skin soo soft .. it was lovely!

With this mask being made purely of fresh ingredients it has to be kept chilled, so its left in the fridge, and also there is a date on the bottom of the packaging for when it has to be used up by.

I'm def going to be re-purchasing this mask :D im also thinking of trying some of the others that Lush offers!!

My New Years Resolutions 2010

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FANTASTIC FOLLOWERS & ANYONE WHO READS THIS BLOG .... :)

So i just want to wish everyone a fantastic New year ... i hope you all had a fantastic night last night what ever you choose to do and you were all safe :D

So 2009 is over and done with ... So what happened in 2009 ... i turned 21 in April which was FAB i loved it, i discovered my love for youtube / blog make up guru's and my old love for make-up and all things girlie has come back :D I should of gone on a fantastic holiday in sept to Cuba for 2 weeks all inclusive pampering but that didnt happen :( (had to cancel it 4 days before we were due to fly because i had my damn appendix out).  There's probably lots and lots more that happened but i cant seem to remember it all ... i know i had a brilliant christmas tho spent with my lovely bf and the family

But all through the year i seemed to be poorly, i had bronchitis, Pig flu (swine flue), Numerous chest infections because of my asthma and finally i had my appendix taken out which went wrong and caused a further 2nd op :( and i was off work for 10 weeks!

So fingers crossed 2010 is going to be a better year health wise i hope!
For 2010 im gonna have 12 promises to myself/things i want to do within that month and im going to try my hardest to keep them.


January - Lose those excess lb's ive put on over the festive season!

February - Book my yearly holiday to cuba ... where i should of gone last year :)

March - Save some pennies for the new MAC collection due out in April/May :D (or from what ive just read online it may be out in march ... so im all confussed :S)

April - Not to eat many easter eggs, and to have a FANTASTIC 22nd birthday!

May - Do not drink any alcohol or fizzy drinks ... so that leaves me with water, juice and hot drinks :)

June - Well middle of the year ... start project bathroom and use up all my odds and ends of everything

July - Do not buy any make-up unless i really need it, i.e ive got no mascara left or foundation then thats an emergency!

August - Do not buy any shoes, unless i really need them as in my soles are wore out, and i mean really need them not just really want them!

September - Go on my holiday i booked back in Feb to Cuba!

October - Be super organised and start buying christmas presents to avoid the awful december rush.

November -  Do not buy any clothes for myself ... save the pennies instead :)

December - Watch the lb's so i can enjoy lots over christmas and new year :D

Each month i'm gonna do a lil blog and say how ive done on my promises to myself ...  fingers crossed i'll of done BRILL ... but hey i think April may be abit tough as i ♥ my easter eggs hahaha!
