Sugar & Spice Sundays 052

Im currently in the early stages of a food coma!! Me & the boy have been to my sisters house for a yummy Sunday dinner and then chocolate brownie and custard .. delicious!!! Ive spent the early part of my evening playing Harry Potter Cluedo, using Floo powder to go from room to room!

Me & the boy went to the local farmers market this morning, I love walking round it, we ended up buying a few random things but it was all worth it ... we really did need cupcakes and a small box of chocolates haha!

Im really getting into you tube video's again, Im currently loving Pixiwoo again, there video's are amazing, they really are the most talented MUA's on YouTube! Im also liking the controversial Elle & Blair, there's alot of hate for them two on YouTube but personally I enjoy watching both there video's, there entertaining and dont do no harm to anyone!

Im wondering what colour to paint my nails, im slowly but surely working my way through all the one's I got for Christmas, thinking of Christmas it seems like it was AGES ago doesn't it!!

Right im offskies ....  nearly Top Gear time!!!

Shhhh its an Argan Secret

I picked this up whilst wandering aimlessly around my local Sally's beauty warehouse, I only went in for hair slides but like always I get distracted.

What it says on the bottle :

Miracle '10' solves all the hair problems you will ever have, Whether your crossing the Sahara or claiming the Atlas mountains Miracle '10' manages your hairs condition.

Miracle 10 is a mysteriously luxurious elixir that you can spray into your hair wet or dry and has 10 amazing benefits :

- Moisturises all hair types
- Protects hair during thermal styling
- Gives brilliant shine
- Detangles
- Controls frizziness
- Seals in hair colour
- Strengths hair
- Prevents split ends
- Shields hair from sun and wind damage
- Absorbs quickly, without greasiness

There throwing out some amazing claims there ... Moisturises ALL hair types? really? So greasy & dry hair? The main ingredient in this product is Argania Spinosa which is the very popular Argan oil., it also has alot of other essential oils including fennel, grape seed, sunflower etc.

I've been using this for the last couple of months, I use it after washing my hair & using my John Frieda Frizz ease I then spray this all over my hair, making sure I dont get my roots due to my extensions but I do try & get the crown of my head where I dont have any extensions.

I really like that this product is a cream but is thin enough to be sprayed onto the hair instead of having a pot of product you've got to delve into each time you want to use it.

I really like this leave in treatment, it makes my hair soft, easy to manage/detangles (especially good with my extensions) and makes my hair extremely shiny. Im not sure if it controls frizziness or not as I still use my Frizz ease with it.

Whats your favourite leave in conditioner / leave in hair treatment? With this product not being readily available for everyone im thinking of getting another bottle & maybe doing a giveaway if it would be something your all after?

Black Diamonds are a girls best friend . . .

China Glaze : Black Diamond

I love this shade, its the perfect mix between black and grey, I'd probably describe this colour as a midnight black, it changes from black to a pearly grey depending on the light. There is a fine black shimmer running through it. I really like this vampy style colour, I usually find dark colours hard to wear but I find this really wearable and a quite sophisticated. Its not got a very shiny finish so I layer a clear topcoat.

Whats your favourite vampy style polish?

Sugar & Spice Sundays 051

A day late but you expect it to be late these days, I really try and get them up on Sundays but it just doesn't happen, Im super busy lately with work and family life!! Also im loving my hat in the picture above, its im not sure what you call them, it has the long floppy sides and its all furry and super warm!

Im currently in the process of getting a new header, Once I've got it up & everything's sorted with it I'll let you into my little secret on it .. you'll all be doing it :)

Im currently sat in my very cold house, unable to get the heating working :S its not broken or anything it just doesn't like me, it works for the boy but as soon as i turn it on it goes NOPE not working. So hot water bottles it is for me today!!

Super excited for pancake day tomorrow ... im a typical lemon and sugar kinda girl but I do like to mix it up every know and then and throw in some nutella ... yummy! Since moving out (nearly 5 years ago) from the parents house me and the boy have always invited lots of friends over to have a Pancake party ... so im super excited to see all our friends and see if anyone can beat my pancake flipping skills!

Takeover Tuesday 004

Today the gorgeous Kat has taken over my blog!

Hi everyone! I’m Kat from jemima.and.ted and today I thought I’d do a post for you on how to get a celeb’s make up look.

Kourtney looks stunning here – she’s so glam! She has flawless skin so I would use a foundation like Estee Lauder Doublewear Maximum Coverage. The Kardashian’s have lovely dark skin, so a bronzer like this Mac one would be great to recreate the look, along with a bit of dark pink blush (Barry M Terracota is great) to add some dimension. And of course, we can’t go wrong with a lovely highlighter to pick up the cheekbones, like this Nars one in Orgasm.

For the eyes, Kourtney appears to have false eyelashes on. I would use inserts here rather than a full set as they are more fluttery and natural – these Eyelure ones are so easy to apply. A really pigmented black eyeliner is ideal to create her dramatic look, and I’ve heard the Kardashian’s swear by Stila ones! And then lashings of mascara (L’Oreal Telescopic is fab!).

Finally – the lips! Not many people can pull this look off but Kourtney looks great. I would use Mac in Russian Red but there are loads of alternatives out there!

Think I might try this look out for a night out soon, its glam and classy. Hope you’ve enjoyed!

Kat x x

I LOVE this style of blog post .. think i'll be copying Kat's idea on a few other posts ... If you'd like to take part in my Takeover Tuesday just comment below & let me know!

Sugar & Spice Sundays 050

I cant explain how much I have enjoyed today, its the first day in 20 days I've not been in work!! I enjoyed getting up at 10, lazing around for a few hours then finally getting dressed and braving the cold & snowy outside. It was quite funny slipping & sliding on the pavements! I only picked a few bits up in town, nothing major, a plain black skater dress for an interview/assessment ive got on Wednesday for a manager training course, so fingers crossed it all goes ok!

I've totally lost it on the blog front lately, Im also having MAJOR trouble with one post, its one of my Takeover Tuesdays, it says its been posted but isn't showing on my blog & doesn't' let me delete it ... WEIRD! Im going to just have to re-do it and hope it doesn't post twice!

Im currently in the process of taking LOTS of photo's of all my new nail polishes, I got like 19 for christmas so expect LOTS of NOTD's ... I'm also wanting to start doing OOTD's again too, Since my last one I've lost about 18lbs so I'm nore confident!

So this is a short post as i'm suppose to be preparing for my assessment, I'm to easily distracted!!!

Bubblegum Lip Scrub =

Lush Bubblegum Lipscrub : £4.95

I suffer really bad with dry lips, there not chapped, there just dry and not flaky exactly but oh you all know what im talking about anyway. I've tried making my own sugar scrubs before, they usually just consist of sugar & a tab of pink food colouring so it looks cute but they dont actually do anything, they turn my lips very pink from scrubbing away but afterwards there quite sore as there's no oils in my home-made lip scrubs.

Lush's bubblegum lip scrub contains Castor sugar, organic jojoba oil and then some E number flavourings & colourings. Jojoba oil is known for its soothing properties so after scrubbing away its helps sooth my lips and stop them being sore. This scrub is a typical bubblegum taste, quite fake smelling/taste too I guess, doesn't stop me loving the product.

Ive been using this scrub for about 10 days now and im super impressed with the results, it leaves my lips soft & no signs of dry flaky skin. Im wearing alot more lip products since I started using this as its making my lipsticks and glosses have such a softer neater finish.

Whats your favourite Lip scrub?
