Cranberry Joy

Bodyshop : £12.50 (£3 sale price)
The main thing I really like about this product is its such natural cranberry scent, thats down to it including crushed cranberries. Its made from natural products so will be very gentle to the skin. It contains crushed cranberries, cranberry seeds, walnut shells and fair trade honey.

The packaging is suitable to be left in the bathroom without going all gooey, the product its self is quite a jelly consistency and spreads very easily all over the body. The cranberry seeds & crushed walnut shells are the perfect balance to exfoliate, the mix between small & large really stimulate the skin & help improve its appearance and texture.

I've been using this for the last 2/3 weeks, I use it twice a week all over my body minus my face as its to harsh. I've noticed a big difference on certain parts of my body but not on others, I seem to get dry skin on the back of my upper arms, since using this that has dramatically reduced so definatly a plus. I've noticed on my leg's its made a difference to the dry skin around my knees but hasnt seemed to do much on the lower part of my legs, that could be because I'm not applying as much pressure due to my eczema.

With me having eczema on the bottom part of my legs, this product hasn't made that worse, or reacted to it at all. This may be different for other people though.

So whats your favourite body scrub? Im after a good face scrub, any recommendations? I have been using a Philosophy one but at £20 a pop its getting abit pricey?

Brilliant Brunette

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo £4.99
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Conditioner £4.99
(currently on 3 for £10 in Asda or 3 for 2 in boots)

Im not brand loyal when it comes to shampoo & conditioner, I usually buy what's on offer in either Boots or Superdrug.  I dont dye my hair but I love the multi tone look so thats what I was hoping I'd achieve from buying this duo.

The John Frieda Shampoo & Conditioner duo has a very moisturising formula, it contains crushed pearls and almond oil to soften and bring out natural multi-dimensional tones in your hair and adds shine. I love the smell of these products the almond oil comes through quite strong in the scent.  The packaging is a brown squeeze tube which in some lights has a slight shimmer running through, the packaging is quite clever as what happens on the bottle is what you want to happen in your hair. The shampoo is really clarifying and did leave my hair feeling clean and soft but I did have to repeat the step twice to achieve this. I have naturally dry hair so conditioner is defiantly a must for me, I make sure I put lots on my hair from mid way down and smoother the tips and leave on for a good few minutes.

Im unsure if this product is very moisturising as after washing my hair I use a hair serum, an argan oil leave in conditioner and then a straightening spray so Im unsure if my hair is as moisturised or not as the 3 other products work wonders.  I'm really liking this duo and will defiantly repurchase, I'm considering trying others from the John Frieda range, the full body duo is getting alot of hype lately.

10 of the best ...

OPI 10 of the best £25 3.75ml per polish

It contains 10 of OPI's most popular colours, a mixture of both light and dark polishes. The colours range from Alpine White to Lincoln Park after dark and everything in between. I really like the idea of this set, it gives  you a chance to ‘test drive’ the most popular colours I would of probably bought in full sizes to see if I like them or not. I've tried a few of them and a I can’t wait to buy the full size bottle, but a few I'm feeling glad I didn’t waste my money on that colour!

The colours included in the set are :
 Alpine Snow
Bubble Bath
Tickle My France-y
Strawberry Margarita
Cajun Shrimp
Big Reg Apple
I'm not really a Waitress
You Dont Know Jacques
Russian Navy
Lincoln Park After Dark

The colour I was most shocked by was Lincoln Park after dark, this is a favourite of the ever popular YT beauty guru Blair (YT name Juicystar07) after seeing her sport this colour in many of her video’s I presumed it was just a black colour but I was surprised that its actually a dark purple which I really like.

If there are any of the colours above you'd like to see swatches of just let me know.

Sugar & Spice 055

Its been my birthday this week, on Thursday I turned 24 ... I think this is probably the first year in a long time where I didn't have a clue what I wanted, I asked for money off the majority of people but Im still unsure as to what to buy :S Im considering buying a pair of white low top converse but that still leaves me with a pretty big chunk of money left over, I might just wait and get something I really want.

I haven't been up to much really, the boy's had shingles so birthday meals has kind of been out the question so it's consisted of ordering take-aways whilst in our PJ's. We ventured out on Saturday to a lovely Italian restaurant, the food was gorgeous, I had bruschetta's and Vegetarian lasagne but when I got home I was sick, not a good sign :S.

Me and the bestie headed off to the Trafford Centre today for a stop of retail therapy. We wandered about, I picked up a new dress for next Saturday night which is going to consist of lots of cocktails and dancing with the girlies, I cant wait. We then headed for lunch at the bar & grill, was delicious!!  Also on our way home we nipped into Sally's as I convinced myself I needed 3 new nail polishes. Darn living 100steps away from Sallys.

Its currently now 16.43, Im sat on my bed in my PJ's watching old episodes of Ugly Betty on E4 and debating what I should blog about next, I'm currently trying to work my way through my review box for you all.

Spring Cleaning

So it's that time of year when I start to think about spring cleaning, this can be anything from my diet, my house, my make up routine, my life & my mind.

I'm going to start off with my life, I need to de clutter everything, make sure I'm not trying to be super woman and do everything at once and by myself! I'm a very happy person, don't let things easily get me down but I do panic about certain things that are normally out of my control. I think I'm quite an optimistic person and the glass is defiantly half full!!
SLOW DOWN DONT PANIC ... Done!!
My diet ... Where do I start?? Do I go all crazy and cut everything out or do I do it gradually, in August/September last year I did the Dukan diet and lost a considerable amount of weight and maintained it for nearly 6 months, I can now see the weight creeping back on and I'm not happy with it, I'm hoping to loose a further 21lbs and I think I'll be happy. Question is how am I going to do this, I'm going to start Dukan diet again for a few weeks, just to kick start my weight loss. I'm going to add in the gym twice a week and a work out DVD at home twice a week, this I feel should be done without causing much disruption in my normal day to day life.
DUKAN GYM DVD ... Done!!!
My make up ... I defiantly need to spring clean my daily routine, it's been the same now for as long as I can remember ... I've also been using the same products for such a long time it's defiantly time for a change!! I'm thinking of venturing from drugstore foundation to more higher end products, I want a light coverage foundation for normal to dry skin ... Any recommendations?? I've also got quite a few MAC lipsticks piling up and realising I don't use them on a daily basis so that's something I want to change ... A lip colour can change your whole look!!
NEW FOUNDATION & LIPSTICK ...Done!!
I'm not the kind of person who thinks that as soon as its spring time you have to have a major over haul of your home and send lots of bags to the charity shops and even more to the local tip. As me and the boy moved into a new house in November we got rid of most of our junk then but it has slowly started accumulating again so I think i need to invest in lots of cute storage boxes so it looks all neat and tidy on my shelving unit.
BOXES CLUTTER TIDIED ... Done!!
Do you spring clean your life?

Sugar & Spice Sundays 054

Another week has passed and I haven't blogged, I literally haven't a clue where the first quarter of the year has gone to. It literally seems like 2 weeks ago it was the new year! Ive not put enough time and effort into my blog this 1/4 and i know it, I really wanted this year to be the year I concentrated on it whole heartedly and made Sugar & Spice a success.

I've been blogging for over 2 years now and its something that I enjoy which is why I've continued, I probably enjoy blogging more now than I did when I first started, I just wish I was able to manage my time better!!

Anyway RANT over!!

I did attempt to make a video to explain where I've been but I spent 10 minutes just ranting at my camera and then realised it's probably not a good idea to post it!! So Im currently sat on my bed in my PJ's watching Harry Potter and complying a to do list and a review box to complete in the next few weeks. I really hope I learn to manage my time better and be a better blogger!!

Just seen on the weather that parts of the country are soon to expect Snow ?? what SNOW!! in APRIL ... not liking the sound of that!!!
